While they were getting ready, another group of us were inside assembling the Thanksgiving baskets our food pantry will be distributing early next week to about 100 local families. It's always a fun morning as we have lots of helpers, including an energetic (and adorable) brownie troop.
It's quite cold out there today though, literally freezing at around 32 degrees, and windy so it feels even colder. I am home now, curled up on the sofa under a fleece throw, sipping a hot cup of tea and getting ready to write for a bit. But first, I took a little break and read the newest Leah Atwood book. It's a short book at about 40 pages and is a heart-warming Christmas story that I absolutely loved. I have always been an avid reader and I only rave about books I really love, so if you see one mentioned on this blog, it's because I felt the need to tell people about it. I love when I feel that way about a book. :) I also like hearing about books other people have really enjoyed, so please drop me a note anytime. firstname.lastname@example.org
